Program Overview
The Program
This is a fun and rigorous REVOLUTIONARY dance teacher training program. You'll methodically learn to lead, follow and teach SEVENTEEN different dances. Based on the Dance Vision International Dance Association (DVIDA) Bronze American Syllabus for Smooth, Rhythm, and Night Club dances, this curriculum is the only one of it's kind. It enables trainees to master years of work in only 16 months.
This program is ideal for beginners, avid social dancers and even professionals looking to master the nuances of the dances and obtain national certification.
Learn in only 16 months what it could take years to learn in regular group classes and even private lessons. Many of the elements in this program are never taught in group classes at all.
Course Set-Up
The program consists of four quarters. Each quarter is four months long. There are innovative exercises, regular homework and examinations, presentations, practice opportunities and supportive feedback. Classes meet for two hours twice a week. Tuesdays: 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Saturdays: 3:30pm - 6:00pm
You can join the program at the beginning of any quarter.
The Dances
Smooth: Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz
Rhythm 1: Rumba, Cha Cha, Bolero, East Coast Swing
Rhythm 2: Samba, Mambo, Merengue, West Coast Swing
Club Dances: Argentine Tango, Hustle, Nightclub Two Step, Salsa, Lindy Hop
